Battery Booster Packs that will do more than just jumping your car!

Below I’ve included some jump starters that do more than just jumping your car. Think of these as a Swiss army knife, where a regular jump starter is nothing but a knife.

Schumacher XP2260 1200 Peak Amp Instant Portable Power Source — A Reliable Item from a Reliable Name

The Schumacher instant portable power source is a battery booster pack that’s as rugged and durable as they come. Basically, this little baby can be stored in your car… or just about anywhere else, but given that it’s an emergency automotive item, keeping it in your car makes a lot of sense. It’s got a built-in battery charger and its own internal battery, and it works to jump-start your car in the event that you find yourself stranded in the middle of nowhere with a dead battery.

Left the lights on again, did you? Well, apparently, you’re not going to learn your lesson today… so just try to do it again. The Schumacher battery booster pack can attach itself to your car battery regardless of where or how it’s positioned, and its own built-in rechargeable battery ensures that it will be ready and able to handle your down-and-out vehicle at a moment’s notice.

But, wait… there’s more! Look at the front of the battery pack. Do you see those two ports that look like power outlets? That’s because they are power outlets. If it needs to be plugged into a standard wall socket to work, you can plug it into this device, and it’ll work. It also has ports to plug in a variety of other devices, such as charging cables for cellphones, laptop computers, notebooks, and e-readers… even that new Apple iWatch, or whatever it’s called (that just sounds creepy, I hope it’s not called that). Plug it in, and charge it up; if you’re stranded somewhere, and you can’t get your car started even with your battery booster pack, and your cellphone is dead, you can plug in your phone and use the battery booster pack’s power source to call for help.

Heck, if you’ve got a portable Wi-Fi connection of some kind… or an internet-capable smartphone, which at this point… who doesn’t, especially if you’re the tech-savvy sort of person who would carry a portable power supply in your car? You can access the internet on your phone, or on your laptop, even if they were previously out of juice, and let your family know that you might be late arriving home for dinner. You can also use your phone to call AAA, which this user at least recommends you continue to subscribe to on a “just in case” basis. It can’t hurt to have friends in high places… or remote and isolated places…

If you’re looking for just a regular jump starter, and that’s it, I can highly recommend Schumachers Pro Series.

Revo -It’s like something out of a superhero movie

This thing… this little box, this battery booster pack… I don’t even know what to say. Remember the first Avengers movie, when Iron Man was instructing Captain America to describe a power supply panel to him and all Rogers could say was “it appears to run on some form of electricity?” I laughed. Everyone in the theater laughed. We laughed because it was ridiculous, in the context of a movie where your average character can throw buildings around and memorize textbooks on “thermonuclear astrophysics” (even I cringed at that one, and I’m not exactly scientifically literate) in the span of a single night… presumably whilst having sex and drinking a club soda at the same time (does that sound like an impressive combo to you? It sure does to me).

Anyway… The thing is, we also laughed because, in the face of all that, we were able to relate to Captain Rogers in that moment. None of us knew what the heck we were looking at on that panel of glowing tubes, charged wires, flashing lights, and the occasional switch… and, while we’re on the subject, why was there a big cartoony-style lever located right by one of the turbines to make it move more slowly? If anybody who knows something about turbines could explain that one to me, I’d really appreciated it.

That moment comes to mind whenever I look at my little battery booster pack from Revo. This little “multi-function” (translation: it. does. everything.) box is small enough to fit in a pocket. I keep mine in the driver’s side front door side pocket of my car. I can barely fit a good book in there, but my battery booster pack fits just fine… now, why do I have it? And what does a “battery booster pack” even do? It almost sounds like it steals batteries, which doesn’t make any sense at all… why would you keep something in your car that steals batteries? That would more or less assure you that your car would never work again.

For less than $100, this little black box stores enough power to jump start your car in the event of a dead battery… twenty-five times. That’s right. Twenty-five times. Remember when you needed… I don’t know… another, operational car to jump-start your battery? Now you can fit twenty-five operational cars’ worth of “hey buddy, can ya give me a hand?” into your pocket.

Also, the Revo battery booster pack does more than that. It’s a power source, so the people at Revo had the good sense to attach multiple other ports to it. Is your laptop dead? Your smartphone? Your e-reader? That dreadful new watch from Apple? Plug it into your battery booster pack, and watch the energy bars fill up in record time. Now, even when you’re stranded in the middle of nowhere, with a dead cellphone, you don’t have to be alone: you can still reach out and touch someone.

Plus, if you do need help, the Revo itself functions as an emergency SOS flashlight… because why not? I mean, heck, it already does everything else, right? If Tony Stark had had one of these on him in the movie, he probably could have handled the electrical panel himself, and used his Revo battery booster pack to get the turbine spinning again… without having to throw himself into it.
